Residencies
Creative thinking as the First Step Toward Innovation and Change
Throughout history, artists and creatives have been at the forefront of social and intellectual revolutions, challenging conventions, imagining new realities, and pushing the boundaries of human expression. Their ability to see beyond the present and translate complex ideas into tangible forms makes them the first to innovate and shape new cultural paradigms.
At Wait & Hope, artists are recruited because they are some of the most creative and disruptive thinkers of our society. They come up with solutions we wouldn't have arrived at on our own. Art is a way of thinking that makes new things possible. For this reason, our residencies are our primary way of finding and onboarding that talent. Artists engaging with blockchain and AI, making real work, and thinking seriously about what these technologies mean for creative practice, ownership, and culture. Alumni return as advisors in future cohorts, and over time we are aiming for alumni to co-leading, and eventually owning programs in their own cities and regions.
The long-term vision is a global community of artists who help us design programs that aren't just for artists, but for anyone.
Are you ready to be part of our global community of creatives? Each residency has its own open call, timeline, and format. Follow us on social media or join our newsletter to hear when applications open.
